Bio
Daniel Deltchev was born and raised in Tranby in Lier, and the whole musical journey began when hestarted in the Tranby Marching Band with the saxophone as his main instrument.It didn't take long before he learned both guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, became a band leader in Lier Tensing and applied to the programme for Music, Dance and Drama at Kongsberg High School.
Daniel earned a bachelor's degree in popular music at Westerdal's Oslo ACT, Practical
pedagogical education at the University of South-Eastern Norway and a master's in musicology with specialization in Bulgarian folk music at the University of Oslo.
Today he is a professional musician with around 100 recordings and hundreds more
concerts behind him. With broad experience in a variety of genres, from Bulgarian folk music,
country, soul, house, EDM, pop to progressive rock and jazz metal, he is often seen on stage with bands, artists, DJs and electronic productions, tables, weddings, etc.
In 2024, he is releasing an album with his multi-ethnic Christmas project "Tehetraki" together with Karstein Grønnesby and Milad Amouzegar, with the self-produced album "En Annerledes Jul" which deals with Norwegian Christmas classics in a new musical guise with impulses from Bulgarian and Persian folk music. On the release you can hear guest artists such as; Jarle Vespestad and Finn Guttormsen (Farmers Market), Bjørn-Petter Tøsse, Canberk Ulas (Turkey), Shblee Saleem (Syria), Eskil Jessen and others.
